As well as Bob's amazing story-telling skills, another thing we think makes this book unique among children's books about Paul is that we have integrated Paul's writings. I've paraphrased passages from the letters of Paul to make them more child-friendly, and carefully matched passages in the epistles to stories about Paul from Acts so they connect -- for instance, the story about the jailer in Philippi is matched with the bit of the Epistle to the Philippians where Paul tells them not to worry about him being in jail again because as a result the Pretorian guard are hearing the good news. The Philippian jailer will have smiled to have that in a letter to the church he was now a part of!Paul wasn't one of Jesus' friends - in fact he really didn't like the whole "Jesus crew" at all.
